How many calories are in chopped ham that is not canned?

This entry describes non-canned chopped pork ham. The selected USDA reference provides 180 kcal per 100 grams. Its 28-gram slice contains 50 kcal, while its thinner 21-gram slice contains 38 kcal. The slices in your package may weigh something different.

What do two sandwich slices contribute?

Two 28-gram slices weigh 56 grams and supply 101 kcal and 9.24 g protein. They also contain 581.84 mg sodium, equivalent to about 1.45 g salt. Protein alone therefore does not describe the whole contribution to the meal.

Generous amounts of salty cheese, pickles and sauces can raise a sandwich's sodium further. Tomatoes, cucumber and greens add variety while you measure the salty additions. Bread and other ingredients are outside the ham-only figures. The source reports zero fibre; ham does not replace the vegetables or grains in a meal.

Is beef, turkey or canned ham equivalent?

No. The meat species, recipe and processing method affect the composition. These figures do not describe beef or turkey ham, chopped canned ham or ham salad spread. Check the meat species and exact product name on the label first. Compare lower-salt options using sodium or salt for an equal weight.

How should it be stored after opening?

Keep sliced ready-to-eat deli ham refrigerated at 4°C or below. The general limit for an opened package or deli-sliced product is 3–5 days; follow a shorter package instruction where given. The words not canned in a nutrient database do not prove that every product is ready to eat. Follow any cooking instructions on its label.
