Ballimix honey hazelnut spread calories

The supplier label for plain Ballimix in a 180 g jar gives 519 calories per 100 g. A weighed 20 g amount provides about 104 calories, 8.66 g sugars and 6.1 g fat. A 10 g amount provides about 52 calories and 4.33 g sugars. The entire 180 g jar contains approximately 934 calories; that is a package calculation, not a serving recommendation.

Calories in a tablespoon depend on how much spread the spoon holds. A level spoon and a heaped spoon are not interchangeable. The 10 g and 20 g examples here are weighed amounts, not a manufacturer-verified tablespoon size.

How much honey and hazelnut does it contain?

The ingredient list specifies 60% honey and 21% hazelnuts, followed by hazelnut and sunflower oils, skimmed milk powder and vanilla flavoring. It is therefore not pure hazelnut butter. Based on those declared proportions, 20 g contains 12 g honey and 4.2 g hazelnuts. Cocoa Ballimix has a different recipe and should use its own panel.

Honey does not make the spread sugar-free. The label reports 43.3 g total sugars, 4.7 g protein and 3.6 g fiber per 100 g. A 20 g portion supplies 0.94 g protein and 0.72 g fiber. The hazelnut name alone does not make a small serving a substantial protein source. The plain ground-hazelnut calculation applies to kernels without added honey, oil or other ingredients; 20 g Ballimix is not 20 g hazelnuts.

Counting a spread at breakfast

If you spread 20 g equally over two slices of bread, each slice receives about 52 calories and 4.33 g sugars from the spread alone. Bread and any extra honey are separate. For a thinner layer, weighing 10 g first makes the amount easier to judge than estimating a spoonful.

There is no single daily amount that suits everyone managing their weight. Consider the grams you eat and the rest of the meal. Honey and hazelnuts do not remove the energy or sugars from the portion. Fiskobirlik no-added-sugar spread lists sugars and polyols separately; compare those lines and the amount eaten when choosing between that formulation and a honey spread.

Allergens and label limits

The supplier label for plain Ballimix 180 g lists hazelnuts and milk. Someone with a milk allergy should not rely on the hazelnut name alone. The CDC advises against honey before 12 months; this also applies to this honey-containing spread. Store it in a cool, dry place and follow the current jar's directions. Undeclared calcium, iron and vitamins remain unknown, rather than being entered as zero.
