Biscolata Mood: the cup is not the same as a small portion

A 125 g cup of chocolate cream Biscolata Mood contains 625 kcal in total. A weighed 25 g amount supplies 125 kcal, 9.28 g sugars and 1.6 g protein. A compact container can hold considerably more than a few biscuits.

Calculating 25 g, 40 g and a whole cup

Dividing 125 g into five equal weighed portions gives 25 g each. A weighed 40 g amount provides 200 kcal and 14.84 g sugars. A separate 40 g pack still needs its own label check; pack size alone does not confirm an identical formula.

The verified information does not give an individual biscuit weight or an exact piece count. Weigh several biscuits together and calculate from their combined weight instead of assigning every biscuit a guessed calorie value. A measured amount is also easier to repeat than a handful.

How much of the cream is chocolate?

The product consists of 62% chocolate cream and 38% biscuit. The cream is not entirely chocolate: its 1.9% milk-chocolate component represents about 1.18% of the whole product. Cocoa powder is present separately. Hazelnut paste is an actual ingredient, but its undisclosed proportion prevents a reliable conversion into grams of hazelnuts.

A 25 g amount contains 15.38 g carbohydrate and 0.8 g fibre. Including hazelnut does not give a biscuit the same protein or fibre as a matching weight of nuts. Hazelnuts and cream-filled biscuits have different compositions and serving uses.

Comparing the bitter flavour and checking allergens

At an equal 25 g weight, regular Mood provides 125 kcal and the bitter version about 124 kcal. That is a very small energy difference; sugars are 9.28 g and 8.05 g, respectively. The word “bitter” should not be read as a large calorie reduction.

The ingredients include wheat gluten, milk, hazelnut and egg. The label also warns of possible sesame, soya and peanut traces. Hazelnut paste belongs to the recipe, so someone with a hazelnut allergy should not treat it as merely a possible trace.
