Inside the Honey and Apple Cookie

How many calories are in one cookie?

A 40 g example supplies 90 kcal and 1.99 g fibre. If two cookies weigh 80 g together, they supply 181 kcal. Small and large cookies should not be assigned equal servings by count alone.

Honey is not only in the filling

The dough contains whole-wheat flour, egg, butter, yogurt and half a tea-glass measure of honey. The filling uses two apples with another dessertspoon of honey, walnuts and cinnamon. Replacing table sugar with honey does not make the cookies sugar-free.

Whole-wheat flour and apples do not cancel the butter or honey contribution. The 40 g example contains 16.7 g carbohydrate and 2 g fat. Icing sugar or another coating added afterwards is outside this reference.

The balance of filling and dough

The source cooks the apples until their released liquid reduces, then adds walnuts and cinnamon; the dough rests for half an hour. More filling or a thicker dough changes what the same 40 g piece contains. This calculation does not describe every apple-cookie recipe.

The general apple-cookie example uses oil as well as butter in its dough. Switching to this honey and whole-wheat recipe changes several ingredients, not just the cookie’s name.

Source and preparation limits

The source recipe omits a complete final baking stage and temperature; missing instructions were not invented here. The nutrition estimate is a finished-cookie reference, not a recommendation to eat raw dough. Total sugars and saturated fat remain unverified. Wheat, egg, dairy and walnuts are present.
