How many calories are in Wonder hamburger rolls?

The historical Wonder roll reference used here provides 273 kcal per 100 g and 117 kcal per 43 g reference serving. A weighed 60 g amount would provide 164 kcal. The 43 g serving is not assumed to be the weight of every bun sold today.

Wonder's current Classic Hamburger Buns page lists 150 kcal per bun and directs readers to the actual package for the latest nutrition information. The current product's serving and formulation have not been treated as identical to this historical record, so its 150 kcal figure is not mixed into the old table.

What does the bun contribute to a burger?

The 43 g reference amount contributes about 21.86 g carbohydrate, 3.47 g protein, 1.12 g fibre and 209.84 mg sodium. The patty, cheese, sauces and toppings each contribute to the complete burger calculation. Logging only the bun's calories as the whole burger would leave much of the meal uncounted.

When making burgers at home, weighing the bun and recording toppings separately is more useful than relying on a vague small or large size. To compare fibre, check both the amount per 100 g and the weight you will actually eat. A darker colour or seeds on the surface alone do not establish a high-fibre product. The multigrain bun guide explains grain names and fibre as separate label checks.

The lentil diet burger reference already includes bread and yogurt sauce. Do not add a Wonder bun again when logging that complete recipe. If using a different bun for your own version, calculate all ingredients separately.

What should you check on today's package?

Read the serving weight, number of buns and allergen list together. This historical nutrient record cannot establish that the current product is vegan or free from allergens. Wonder sliced white bread, other brands' buns and other Wonder products have their own formulations.
