Dietitian's Tips for Consuming Banana

  • Metabolic Effect: Thanks to the natural sugars it contains, it provides quick energy and supports muscle functions with its potassium content. Thanks to its fiber content, it regulates digestion and provides a feeling of fullness.
  • Consumption Recommendation: It can be consumed at breakfast or as a snack, and can be preferred as an energy source before sports. When consumed with yogurt or milk, it raises blood sugar more balanced.
  • Things to Consider: Ripe bananas have a higher glycemic index, so it's important not to overdo it. One medium-sized banana is equivalent to approximately 2 servings of fruit.
  • Exercise Equivalent: To burn the calories you get from a medium-sized banana, you need to walk for about 15 minutes. Also, a light-paced exercise for 10 minutes may be sufficient.
