The mozzarella-and-ham pack

Dardanel's table accompanying the pink 145 g Gurme Mozzarella Ham pack gives 397 kcal and 15.52 g protein for both triangles. An equal 72.5 g half contains 199 kcal. The declared value per 100 g is 274 kcal.

How much cheese and ham does it contain?

The manufacturer declares 18% mozzarella, 15% beef ham and 45% bread. Those recipe shares represent about 26.1 g mozzarella, 21.75 g ham and 65.25 g bread in a 145 g pack. The remainder includes a mayonnaise-and-cheese sauce. “100% beef ham” on the front does not mean the entire sandwich is beef.

At the same 145 g pack weight, Classic Kashar declares 29% cheese, about 42.05 g. Compare that with the mozzarella-and-ham pack’s 26.1 g cheese while remembering that cheese type, ham and sauce also differ; cheese weight alone does not describe the entire sandwich.

For a homemade beef-ham sandwich, weigh the slices separately. The Danet example on the beef-ham page is a different product, not the identity or nutrition panel of the ham in the ready Mr. NO sandwich.

Milk and egg are also in the sauce and bread

Looking only at the visible cheese is insufficient for allergen screening. The bread contains butter and milk powder; the mayonnaise contains egg yolk. Milk, egg and wheat are actual ingredients. Removing the cheese would not make the sandwich dairy-free because milk ingredients remain elsewhere.

When reading the allergen label, include bread and sauce in the ingredient check rather than relying on the name on the front.

Salt and saturated fat

The 145 g pack contains about 2.18 g salt and 8.56 g saturated fat. An equal half supplies about 1.09 g salt and 4.28 g saturated fat. Extra cheese, deli meat or salty snacks add their own amounts to the meal.

The pack's 1.74 g sugars figure means total sugars, not added sugar alone. Dardanel specifies refrigerator storage at 0–4 °C; follow the packet's storage instructions when buying and transporting it.

At the same 145 g weight, Mr. NO smoked salmon contains about 3.34 g salt, compared with 2.18 g in the mozzarella-and-ham pack. Use the labels for the comparison instead of inferring salt from the filling name.

Which manufacturer table is used?

The pink 145 g Dardanel page declares 274 kcal, 20.3 g carbohydrate, 10.7 g protein, 16.4 g fat, 0.9 g fiber, 1.2 g sugars, 5.9 g saturated fat and 1.5 g salt per 100 g. The Mr. NO page with a green 145 g pack lists a different 311 kcal formula. The two tables were not combined; use your own label if it differs. Unreported calcium and other micronutrients remain unknown.
