Crust tuna sandwich: the 140 g reference

The historical 140 g Mr. NO crust tuna-sandwich reference supplies 240 kcal, 9.2 g protein and 24.3 g carbohydrate. An equal 70 g half contains 120 kcal. The equivalent per 100 g is 171 kcal.

Tuna weight and sandwich weight differ

A 140 g sandwich does not contain 140 g of tuna. Bread and the other filling ingredients contribute to the total. The tuna percentage was not verified, so a weight of fish cannot be calculated. Drained canned tuna and a ready sandwich also have different weight definitions.

For example, the inspected spicy-tuna can has a net weight of 160 g and a drained weight of 104 g. Use the drained quantity for a homemade sandwich, then add bread and any extra sauce separately. The spicy can is not assumed to be the filling used in the ready sandwich.

Protein in one half

A 70 g portion contains 4.6 g protein and 5.6 g fat. Eating both equal halves supplies about 9.2 g protein. Filling can be concentrated on one side; a half-portion calculation assumes an even distribution.

Fish does not establish omega-3 or salt content

The historical source does not give omega-3 or salt amounts. A figure from another fish product cannot fill that gap, and unknown salt does not mean salt-free. Light, rye-bread, Classic triangle and long-roll tuna sandwiches each require their own product information.

The separate 140 g rye tuna sandwich reference provides 233 kcal and about 10 g protein, versus 240 kcal and 9.2 g for the crust entry. Similar images alone do not establish an identical product.

Historical source limits

Diyetkolik's named crust entry lists 240 kcal per 140 g, with 17.36 g carbohydrate, 6.57 g protein and 8 g fat per 100 g. Its attached Tonwich rye photograph was not treated as a nutrition label for the crust version. Fiber, sugars, saturated fat, salt and unreported micronutrients remain unknown; current 145 g figures were not mixed into the reference.
