White-coated Tadelle with a hazelnut filling

This is a 30 g bar with white chocolate around hazelnut-filled milk chocolate. It is not the white wafer or the sugar-free Tadelle variety, and their pack values should not be swapped.

Why does the calculated pack value differ?

The manufacturer's 100 g column lists 568 kcal. Scaling that figure gives 170 kcal for 30 g and 85 kcal for a 15 g half bar. The same manufacturer page prints 168 kcal in its pack column. That does not exactly match 568 × 0.30 = 170.4, so this calculator consistently uses the 100 g column rather than mixing the two. [1]

Migros lists a different 100 g value of 556 kcal. These online records do not establish which recipe is in your wrapper. Follow the actual pack if it differs; averaging the records would not resolve the discrepancy. [2]

What makes the white-coated bar energy-dense?

Using the manufacturer data, a 30 g bar supplies 11.1 g fat, 14.4 g carbohydrate, 2.7 g protein and 12.9 g sugars. The coating does not make the bar low in energy, and a hazelnut filling is not nutritionally equivalent to plain hazelnuts. [1]

The retailer's ingredient list includes milk ingredients, hazelnuts, sunflower lecithin and vanilla flavouring; describing it as having no additives would be inaccurate. It is unsuitable for milk or hazelnut allergy. Check the current wrapper for the complete ingredients and warnings. [2] For a caramel confection, Toffifee’s sugar and fat figures use its own label and piece weight.

Choosing an amount you actually want

You can separate half the bar and put the rest away if that suits your appetite. The 15 g example is a calculation, not a daily prescription. Calling the bar “two slices of bread” overlooks differences in fat, sugar and protein. When comparing it with King Size, dark or sugar-free Tadelle, check both the label per 100 g and the grams in each pack.
