Dietitian's Tips for Consuming Eti Burcak Hazelnut Cream

The reference 158 g Eti Burçak hazelnut-cream biscuit product contains 504 kcal and 15 g protein per 100 g. Its oat biscuit and cream are counted together. Plain Burçak and the peanut version are different products.

How much protein is in a portion?

A weighed 30 g share provides about 151 kcal, 4.5 g protein, 7.5 g sugars and 1.26 g fibre. A 40 g amount provides about 202 kcal, 6 g protein and 10 g sugars. The word “protein” on the product does not mean sugar-free or low-calorie.

The complete 158 g pack contains about 796 kcal and 39.5 g sugars. Pack size need not be your portion size. A single biscuit is not assigned a fixed gram weight because that weight has not been verified.

At an equal 25 g, Burçak peanut-butter cream biscuits and this hazelnut version both provide 3.75 g protein. Sugars differ: 6.75 g in the peanut version and 6.25 g here. Matching protein does not mean identical composition.

Percentage in the cream versus the whole biscuit

Hazelnut cream forms 33% of the product, and hazelnut paste forms 15% of that cream. The 15% figure therefore does not describe the entire biscuit. Multiplying the declared proportions gives approximately 4.95% hazelnut paste in the whole product.

Milk-cream Burçak’s 23% filling is different. Raspberry-preserve Gönlübol lists cream and preserve separately; changing the filling changes which product panel applies.

Ingredients and allergens

Alongside oats, the product contains wheat gluten, milk and hazelnuts, with a warning for possible peanuts and egg. Oats do not make it gluten-free. Removing the cream is not a basis for considering the biscuit safe for a hazelnut allergy.

Values use Migros Toptan's panel for the 158 g product. The old 175 g pack and 9 g protein figure have not been mixed into this calculation. Use your current pack if its composition differs. Unreported micronutrients remain unknown.
