Values are calculated from a 100 g basis. The product, recipe and serving amount can change the result. See the food-specific notes below for the reference used.

A cup has a volume and a weight

A weighed 200 g serving of this unsweetened, ready-to-drink apple juice contains about 92 kcal and 19.24 g sugars. USDA's reference cup weighs 248 g and provides about 114 kcal, 28.02 g carbohydrate and 23.86 g sugars. Your glass may have a different capacity; if a carton gives values per 100 ml, use its own volume-based label.

Unsweetened juice still contains fruit sugars

The reference reports 9.62 g sugars and 0.2 g fibre per 100 g. No added sugar does not remove the sugars naturally present in the fruit.

Eating a Granny Smith apple with its skin includes the flesh and skin together. Juicing it does not transfer the whole fruit’s fibre profile unchanged to the glass.

Four fluid ounces and a juice box

In this source, 4 fl oz weighs 124 g, providing about 57 kcal and 14.01 g carbohydrate. A pack described as a small juice box is not automatically this size. Concentrated apple juice is also a different ingredient: follow its dilution instructions instead of applying the ready-to-drink table directly.

The 140 ml Almarai apple nectar carton uses its own manufacturer’s panel. A nectar name or a small carton does not justify applying this juice’s gram-based table to that product.

Added vitamin C changes the label

The selected reference has no added ascorbic acid and reports 0.9 mg vitamin C per 100 g. A vitamin-C-fortified carton may differ. Its own declared vitamin content should take priority over a generic juice table.
