Which Torku kashar cheese label is used?

The supplier label for the 600-gram Torku full-fat fresh kashar lists 330 calories, 25 grams of protein and 25 grams of fat per 100 grams. Kashar is a Turkish cheese; this calculation concerns the fresh cheese, not Torku toast, burger or cream cheese products. The slice and nutrient calculation for natural cheddar is a separate cheese reference and should not inherit fresh kashar’s figures.

Calories in a slice

A slice that weighs 20 grams provides 66 calories and 5 grams of protein. A 30-gram amount provides 99 calories and 7.5 grams of protein. Thin slices, cubes and cupfuls do not have a universal weight, so weigh the cheese instead of relying on its shape. The 20 and 30 g calculations for standard SEK kashar use another manufacturer’s panel; compare equal weights using each product’s own label.

The entire 600-gram pack provides 1980 calories; it is not a suggested meal portion. For a toasted sandwich, calculate the cheese, bread and added fat separately. Melting the cheese does not remove the energy in the amount you started with. For the bread component, the Uno toast-bread guide to toasting and added ingredients explains the calculation; add the cheese weight separately.

Protein, salt and saturated fat

The selected label lists 2.37 grams of salt and 17 grams of saturated fat per 100 grams. Salt converts to 948 mg of sodium. A 30-gram amount contains about 0.71 grams of salt, 284.4 mg of sodium and 5.1 grams of saturated fat. If limiting salt, include olives and other salty accompaniments in the total.

Its protein does not establish that cheese alone stabilizes blood glucose or causes weight loss. A zero-sugars label is also not a lactose-free claim. Calcium and other undeclared minerals have not been copied from a generic cheese table.

Preservatives, storage and different packs

The 600-gram product lists pasteurized cow’s milk, salt, calcium chloride, cheese rennet, cultures and potassium sorbate as a preservative. It contains milk allergen. The stated storage range is 0–4°C; follow the packet’s use-by date and any directions after opening.

A separate 650-gram listing declares 326 calories, 24 grams of protein and 1.6 grams of salt per 100 grams. These labels have not been combined. Pack size and formulation can change, so your own product’s current label takes precedence.
